2011 Festival

This page is dedicated to the 2011 Whitsuntide Festival, took place on Saturday 4th June 2011.

The 2011 Festival Queen Elect had been chosen - The draw took place at the unique 'Goosnargh's Got Talent' event on Sunday 28th January 2011, where the reigning Queen Miss Bethan Williamson selected a name from those putting themselves forward.

At the Festival, Bethan fulfilled her duty of crowning the 2011 Festival Queen Miss Pheobe Collin.

1:00pm FLOATS line up on Goosnargh Lane to be led out by PAUL RIGBY JAZZ

1:10pm FANCY DRESS REGISTRATION in Oliverson’s Playground

1:20pm JUDGING of Fancy Dress.

1:20pm Children to join their Floats ready for Judging

1:30pm MAYPOLE outside "The Grapes". Procession lines up

1:30pm JUDGING of FLOATS

2:00pm prompt FESTIVAL PROCESSION SETS OFF

3:00 pm approx CROWNING of Miss Phoebe Collin, Dancing, Presentation of Trophies and the Raffle Draw

4:00pm approx CELEBRATION TEA
